- Visiting Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument
- After a drive to the capital, Pierre, we happened upon a rodeo at a park on the river
- We drove through Crow Creek Reservation
- Finally, a stop in Madison where Bill spent a year and a half attending South Dakota State University and played football, and then Sioux Falls
Sturgis & Rapid City
Mount Rushmore
Crazy Horse Memorial
An amazing celebration of Native American culture within the Black Hills. The stone monument has been under construction for decades, only funded by visitors and supporters; not one cent from the federal government. The visitor center, museums, and cultural presentations are wonderful. Here’s the website to find out more.
